Several types of hardwoods

3/4" Solid

Solids are more traditional and long lasting. They give options of refinishing and multiple color choices. Only downside is a solid is less stable than engineered. Meaning it'll expand and contract more through the seasons.

Engineered

There are several types of engineered. From different thicknesses to the way it's manufactured. Rotary peeled is less expensive to manufacture and great for the budget. Sawn face and quarter sawn have the best visuals and a bit more stable.
